I’ll be waiting

Erica Morini loved her Stradivarius. Her obsessive attachment to the instrument is typical of those who find that their violin gives them their voice and become part of their inner identity.

On the 18th of October 1995, a friend dropped by to check on the apartment while 91-year-old Morini was in the hospital. The door to the apartment was locked and everything seemed to be in its place. When inside, they opened the china closet door, and they found that the violin was gone.

Since that day in October, the Davidoff-Morini Stradivarius has received top searches as one of the FBI’s top ten unsolved art mysteries,

Erica Morini died at hospital two weeks later.

Her voice, her inner identity was already waiting for her on the other side.
